Description

Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, frog with ferrule

 Stick: made of ?pernambuco; cross-section: basically round, octagonal from silver thread wiring towards the end, c.100mm; gently tapered
Head: facing: inner ebony strip covered by outer silver strip with floral engraving, covering the trapezoid wedge, also embracing the tip, elongated almond shape; hatchet type, trapezoid plane
Frog: made of ebony, on rectangular plane with regular c-shape undercutting; rear and upper edge is ornamented with green/silver mother-of-pearl; outer corner only slightly round (rectangular plane is maintained); ferrule, screw cap, slide and back plate of silver metal strips, gold-plated with floral engraved ornament; brass liner; screw of iron; eyelet of brass
