![]() | THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF MUSIC FRANK BRIDGE BEQUEST (formerly The Frank Bridge Trust) | |
IntroductionThe British composer, viola player and conductor Frank Bridge (1879—1941) studied for many years at the Royal College of Music, and the College now holds a large collection of his manuscripts; these may be consulted by arrangement with the Library. The Frank Bridge Bequest, administered by the College, is responsible for encouraging performances of Bridge’s music. Apart from acting as an information centre for all aspects of Bridge’s life and work, the Bequest, in collaboration with leading publishers, also has an on-going programme of publication that has made available for the first time a number of important works. The Bequest is able to provide some financial support for concert performances and recordings of the larger works. The Committee meets three or four times a year to consider and select applications for grants. All enquiries should be addressed to the chairman. |
